Things that one can blog about.

Funny, yesterday, I was just thinking something like, "I'm so going to run out of things I can blog about soon."
But life is funny and so are internet people.
And so, I am proven wrong.
~~
First up, it seems that this morning was rigged so that I wouldn't be able to watch the Spurs game I was looking forward to. First came the power outage. Then, at around that time when the 4th quarter must have started, the power came back. Insert something like yay here.
I turned on the TV. The channel showing the game was gone. ACK! Static, get it off my ugly CRT TV!! I want my freakin basketball game!!! And those thoughts didn't work.
So, I was reduced to watching an online scoreboard.
Yes, how exciting. It was up to my imagination and a bit of logic to come up with the events behind the score increments. Insert some random word of some random emotion here. I really don't have any words for this part. But I thought there should be something. Wow, for someone who had no words for this part, I wrote, like, three sentences. And that is so Perelandra.
In the end, the Spurs lost. I had an awful morning and the Spurs lost.
In the end end end, I am not lamenting their loss as much as I am lamenting how I wasn't even able to share those moments of defeat with them. Thank you, power outage and ***-* channel for the wonderful static. I actually stared at the static for a few seconds just for the beauty of it. Okaay, so maybe I was thinking "Get off my screen you &%&$*(&(*(&^%@#@!!!!" (I leave it to your imagination to think of what word^ that was). Well, that and OF COURSE the BEAUTY of it. --- .
^There was no word. Just a series of unintelligible sounds. I'm the kind, nice, soft-spoken type, whatever else you think.
~~
Next topic.
~~
Life is funny, but internet people are funnier.

Yesternight (yes, I make words up. or is there actually such a word?)...
Again.
Yesternight, I happened to come across this video:
~Fansub DOCUMENTARY* by OTAKING**~
*This is so not a documentary, it's a hate video.
**HAHAHA. I just cannot take anyone who names themself that--and actually writes their real name with it--seriously.

It's a five-part video. I have to give it to Mr. OTAKING (lol) though, not a bad video, really. In fact, it's quite entertaining at first. Only, he just drones on, repeating points he already repeated. It was kinda too long and repetitive for me. But since he was named OTAKING and had a british accent, I just had to watch. lol.
There seemed to have been a thread in animesuki about it. Actually, I came across the anisuki thread first. Too long though, and not really that interesting, didn't really read it.
When I was done watching the thing, I scrolled down to look at some of the comments.
OMG. It's Otaking's crowning glory!!!!

(To clarify, there were people complaining that their comments were being deleted and his Otakingness defends himself. And so, I was entertained.)

I don't really use this word but... What a NOOB!! Goodness Griefness..~!! =)) <-YM smiley
I have to wonder, though, how he has enough intelligence to make such a video and not get this. Or maybe he was just blinded by his Otaking-ness. Well, if he was aiming for attention though, he really got it. And as much as I don't like giving into stuff like this, fansubhatevideo+Otakingness+thatyoutubeconv = omg, I need to blog on this!!
~~
But, even though I mostly watched this for fun, I can't help but have an opinion on it.
Excessive is excessive, but since this is fansubbing we're talking about, it's hardly illegal and I just can't believe a person would make a whole video "documentary" out of it. But I better believe it, because it's real. AND funny. =))
Personally, I like fansub fancy effects. ^_^ But, yes, excessive is excessive. But I wouldn't make a video out of that. :))
Those, and that I think this guy is just some western jerk who thinks the west is the best. I'm not really against that, I have no particular attachment (on a super patriotic level) to a particular part of this planet. But he talked about respect and all that on the video. They should respect Japanese culture and language too. I can never agree that good subbing means erasing all traces of Jap stuff from the anime and converting that to all the western blah that not everyone in the world would be able to relate to anyway. Like takoyaki/nikuman(forgot which) are soo not jelly buns. But really, just go and erase all the jap culture from jap anime cuz that's respect.

Excessive is excessive and that goes both ways.

And this is perhaps the most serious post I've done so far, as a chocolate bar soul.
I think the post on that Geass quote competes with this. Hmm.
~~
Yay, done.

Internetless Day and GIF frame, etc.

I added a GIF Frame here.
Yay.
Or something like that.
Anyway, it's supposed to hold GIFs (duh). Or maybe other pictures too. So maybe that's why I named it with an "etc".
Okay, enough.
~~
So, yesterday, there was no internet.
So, I looked out the window expecting to see an ended world, but apparently, that was not the case.
So, I just spent a useless day installing windows XP themes, and making several attempts (all in vain) to organize my cluttered desktop. Well, maybe that's because all my attempts consisted of: --/me thinks I should clean up my desktop.
--End of attempt.
So, in the end, it was such a useless day.
So, should I like name this the so entry?
~~
I was really agitated by the lack of internet, but apparently, I wasn't the only one suffering. A certain bank closed early because of PLDT line problems, and there was no net in my friend's house and my brother's school. Misery may love company, but in this case, somehow, it also brought with it the finality of the reality that the internet will not come back anytime soon.
~~
In the end, an entry about useless things would definitely end up useless, huh?
But it's not the end.
I think.
~~
I just watched VK 08 and am rewatching Saiunkoku Monogatari. I have to say, VK anime sucks in a lot of ways. So why am I even watching it? Because apparently, it's in my nature to waste time and be useless while doing useless things. Like perhaps blogging like this. But this is supposed to be an investment!!! Or so I convince myself... And me being the me who can't help but be the me that I am, I end up convinced. $___$
Those $ $igns didn't mean anything. $eriou$ly.
~~
Well, tomorrow is the Spurs game and I'm looking forward to their complete triumph over the LAL.
...
...
...
-DOT DOT DOT-
Screaming dot dot dot?

WHY OH WHY DID THEY LOSE GAME 4???
Because apparently, Barry is an idiot and Fisher is incredibly lucky. I mean, he's the guy with the 0.6s catch+turnaround+dribble+shot. But sure, 0.6s is more than enough for such a series of actions. After all, this is why we all like superman, we can freakin relate with the superhuman abilities. Sheesh on people who even tried to contest that shot.
But this time though, Barry was really an idiot.
I know this 0.6s thing was like years ago? But I haven't really watched basketball in a long time. So, just forgive the ancientness. It was unforgettable ancientness for the superhuman me.
Well, tomorrow's game is still tomorrow, so, I'll keep my fingers crossed. Not literally, of course? Like imagine typing with crossed fingers. But for the superhuman me? HA! No sweat, no pain, no effort needed at all.
And I like typed this whole thing in 0.6s.
Don't believe it?
You better believe it.
Believe the unforgettability of such powerful ancientness.
All in 0.6s.

Disclaimer(s):
1. I feel a bit lazy today, so I'll do this all in one item. I don't claim to own anything I don't own. ETC. That should do it.0.6s power!!!!

Hantsuki LA 01

So, it's time to make one of my... er.. accomplishments for the day into an entry.
Presenting...

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us and either it's messing up o_O or your compy is.

Hanbun Tsuki ga Noboru Sora Live Action.
Applause please.
Thank you.
~~
I was actually surprised when I saw this. I know I already wrote that in a previous entry, but aside from being surprised from just actually seeing the thing, it was only 175mb. Usually LA encodes are at around 350-400 mb or 700 mb (Love Song stuff). But then, also usually, LA's run for 45mins and this one is only 25mins long. So, yeah. That exlplains the 175.
Also, it seems to have had 13 episodes as opposed to the anime which only had 6 episodes.
This is also the first LA I've watched that has an opening and ending theme.
Or wait.
Did HanaDan have an ending theme? I can't seem to remember... It had an opening though...
--/me suddenly remembers a video of Arashi dancing. Ugh.
I mean, I guess it's okay and all, after you've taken the thought in and pushed it through layers and layers of cerebral tissues in your head.. But. Just but. And I'm sure you know what I mean. Plus most (if not all) of them come from this talent center/agency called Johnny's entertainment and that name just makes it worse.
--/me cringes.
Anyway....
~~
My thoughts on this live-action adaptation after watching episode 01 are as follows:
  • Characters are OK. These are only
    Rika and Yuuichi. Too lazy to get more screens.

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us and either it's messing up o_O or your compy is. Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us and either it's messing up o_O or your compy is.

  • Acting is, well, typical live-action. This means it's okay. Well, kind of good, I guess. ^_^
  • Now, I haven't read the novel, so I can't compare and tell which is closer... But, the live-action seems to be (at least supposedly) funnier. Well, I guess it is, in a way. Except that the last live-action I watched was Proposal Daisakusen and I've been watching Itazura na Kiss anime, and I think they're funnier. ^___^ But, it's only been episode 1 for me, so, we'll see what happens in the next eps. :D
  • On the funnier thing, it seems they made Yuuichi goofier here. Well, Yuuichi wasn't really goofy in the anime, if I remember right. Goofy like so:

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us and either it's messing up o_O or your compy is.

  • Songs were okay.
  • All in all, I guess it's okay. Not great, but not bad = okay. Well, it's only episode 1, so I'll try to reevaluate after I've seen the whole thing. Yay.
~~
It's being subbed by SkewedS and SaiMin. I got these screens from their release.
Here's a link to their torrent.
--/me wonders if this is illegal.
Well, I don't think so, it's just a link. And besides, no one reads this blog and illegal things become legal when no one knows you do it. >:)
So, yeah, I guess you've noticed I'm paranoid about these things?
Well, it makes for more blog content, so it can't be bad. ^___________^
Well, that's that I guess. :D

The LIKE entry

So yesterday, I slept at 8 am and woke up at around 10:30 am. That would've been perfectly fine if I slept the night before the 8am but I didn't. So basically, I lacked sleep. That's normal most of the time, but it's like summer vacation so it's like 2 and a half hours of sleep in vacation isn't okay. Yay. Now that's out. I think that sacrifice would pay off anyway... In like a half month. Sweet bucks, come to me~!! ^_____^
~~
More yesterday stuff.
So, like, when I like woke up yesterday at like 10:30 am, I was like able to watch the 4th quarter of the Spurs vs. Lakers game 3 and like, Spurs won!! I was like yay!! And I'm so like looking forward to tomorrow's game!! Go spurs, go!! Go and like drown the Lakers!! like, what the heck is a "laker" anyway? Someone who like, LAKES? like, what the hell is that?! like, geez. Talk about, like, a bad team name. like, hello? like hi.
**I know there is such a term as 'laker'. But that team name just calls out to me to make fun of it stupidly like this. How could I possibly refuse?
~~
Okay, so I just, like, decided that this wouldn't be a like entry after all. Cuz it's like, sooo wrong. But I'll just like, leave the title as is. After all, I wouldn't like, want anyone to like think I talk this way. It's too, like, humiliating. >_< ~~ What else did I do yesterday? Nothing! Which brings me to... I think yesterday and today were really unproductive days. I have them all the time, you know, unproductive days. But I just wanted to say that. The only thing that could possibly count as an accomplishment for today woul be that I got to watch a couple of Avatar episodes and I got to watch the first episode of Hantsuki LA. Hm. I should make a separate entry for that. Okay, I will.
***
Disclaimer(s):
1. Avatar = Not Mine.
2. Lakers and Spurs = Not mine. If I had to pick one though, Spurs. But that was like obvious already.
3. Hantsuki = not mine.
4. Did I miss anything?
5. Obviously, I haven't gotten tired of this yet.

American Idol 7th Season Finale

Wow. So I actually watch non-Japanese shows.
What a big surprise!
NOT.
That's because my native language is so not Japanese, so, logically, I should be more inclined towards watching English or Local TV shows. I guess I'd say the ratio of the English & Local shows to Japanese shows that I watch would be at 40:60 to 55:45. I'm trying to bring into the scene my entire life here, trying to weigh how much worth I should place on specific times in my life, so as to come up with those figures. Of course, those are merely pseudo-quantitative data, which is to say that they are very very very unreliable rough estimates, I have to wonder how I even came up with numerical values at all.
Next section please.
~~~
Thank you.
Now, I'm not exactly a fan of American Idol, in fact, I don't remember the past seasons very well (some seasons, not at all), and I haven't really been much for watching it on a regular basis. But, I sort of almost make it a point to watch the preliminary auditions and the finale of this show. The finale for the winner and the prelims for the oh-so-funny people that have no shame at all but I don't mind that they have no shame cuz they entertain me. Haha. Well, there.
Amazingly, the finale also made me laugh.
I was just highly-entertained that they decided to make Mr. Renaldo Lapuz come back for the finale and have everyone be.. er.. highly-entertained.. by his grand, and I mean GRAND, performance. He had a freakin' band and cheering squad!! Was that a cheering squad??? What the heck?? I was highly-entertained indeed.
Go youtube the clip if you weren't able to catch it.
Actually, we have no cable channels here at home, so I was only able to watch a really delayed replay earlier, so.. yeah. That's that. Entertainment for all.
I still choose David A. over David C. though. Like, hello? Fools would choose C over A, and they're americans too, they employ that grading method! Well, I guess it's not just about the voice, sooo... And I wasn't really able to follow this season (so, what's new) so I don't really mind the results. I just thought it would be kinda funny to comment about it this way.
Oh, it's not?
Well then, you can still go and be highly-entertained by Mr. Renaldo Lapuz's original composition with matching band and dancing girls plus Randy and Paula.
I keep calling him Mr. because he's freakin 45!!!!!!!!! Mid-life crisis must bring about bouts of dementia, huh? This is an exceptionally long bout, though, it lasted through a whole season of American Idol. Or maybe it was just triggered by the start and end of the show that brought him... er.. fame.
Well, gotta go back to work now.
Apparently, I still haven't been surprised to death.
Sukuran San Gakki!!!
Third season of school rumble will air in July this year~!
Happiness. ^_____^
Another objective for me, I guess~ -> finish reading sukuran manga up to the latest chapter before the third season airs!! Yay. :D
Well, I saw the promo, it was subbed by a group called ACG.
It's probably been around for sometime, but I've turned off FeedDemon since my laptop's been acting crazy last month and I didn't bother finding out which softee was the real culprit, but FeedDemon was one of the suspects, so I just turned it off. I can survive without it anyway.
So, there. I shall go back to doing a paper first. Cram mode!
Here's a direct download of the promo from filesend~
Sukuran 3 Promo
I know some fansub groups don't like their releases being distributed without their permission. But I thought this was just a promo so it could be okay... It's not like I'm taking the credit for their work or anything. Besides, I saw the vid up on youtube too, haha.
And even more besides, no one reads this blog anyway. haha.
If someone actually does read this blog, you can leave a comment and surprise me to death.
But still, if they don't want it up here, I can take the link down anytime. :D
All for World Peace!!!
Hantsuki
This word is the short for an anime entitled "Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora". I watched this anime long ago. I forgot when. Hmm.
Anyway, it's basically about a sick girl and a sick guy in a hospital. And so the story goes--they meet and fall in love. But alas! Fate is cruel, the girl has a heart disease!! Very BAD heart condition. Will they have their ever after or will girl say bye bye to this world? Watch to find out.
On a lighter note, the guy's disease was hepatitis. So guys, go get hepatitis to get yourself into a love story worth making a novel, an anime, and a live-action about.
WHAAAAAAAAAAAT? A live-action???
I was surprised. woah.
~~~
Director (Me): Okay, cut. More feelings please!! Where's your soul at??!
Blogger (Also Me): I lost it, remember? DUH. Look at the "About Me" section please. It doesn't sit there just for decoration you know. Like it can even qualify as such anyway, seeing as it has no decorative powers AT ALL.
Director (Me): Oh, yeah. Sorry. Funny, I must have had something in my eye if I didn't notice that.
Blogger (Also Me): BWAHAHAHAHA!! That's it, apologize, you piece of lowlife filth!! Bow down to my greatness!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
~~~
*Ahem*
Dual-Personality mode over.
~~~
I WAS SURPRISED!!! WOAH!!

Apparently, hantsuki had a live-action. It aired in 2006. And I didn't know. Where was I all these years?? (Well, it's only 2008, so that's not really a lot of years, but anywaay.) I guess that's because I never really paid much attention to live-action before. So there, not my fault. Lalala~
I did know that the anime was based on a novel.
Well, it seems I haven't missed a lot yet since the first subbed episode only came out recently.

I swear I'd give a whole farm of delicious xenocide milk chocolate to be able to read/understand/speak/write Japanese instantly!!

Oh well. I don't think that'll work. I'd need a babelfish for this, too bad they aren't for sale on Earth.

And so, the story ends.
Maybe I'll put up screens when I'm done watching episode one. Yeah. :D

The Qwerty Life

Qwerty life is the time of your life spent in front of a keyboard.
A big chunk of my life is qwerty life.
Yeah.
So in the end, basically, somehow, this really doesn't help with the theme of this blog.
But smile~! ^_^
And the world shall be set free from this sadness~
~in your dreams, of course. :P
